  • Kim’s portrait, Lois & Gingerella, was granted a Finalist award in the 2023 Portrait Society of America Members Only Portrait Competition. The portrait was one of 38 selected in the Non-Commissioned Portrait category from 1,290 entries.

  • Kim has been invited to conduct live portrait painting demonstrations locally in Spring 2024 at the Franklin Art Association, The Danvers Art Association, and Arts Wayland.

  • This past July, Gorrasi returned for another live portrait painting demonstration at the Copley Society of Art on Boston’s Newbury Street, where, a month prior, she instructed a 3-day workshop: Painting a Portrait from Life.

  • In April, 2023, Kim held the the first-ever live portrait painting demonstration at the Boston Athenæum on Beacon Hill. That evening, she also delivered her lecture, “Books as Narrative in Portraiture,” in which she shared the role books have in telling a portrait sitters' life story.

  • The Salmagundi Club of New York accepted Gorrasi’s “Portrait of Shandra” into their 2022 Annual Painting, Sculpture & Graphics Exhibition, which was on exhibit at the Club’s historic Manhattan brownstone.

  • Kim recently completed the portrait of the late Van Sotir Christo, U.S. Consulate to Albania and founder of the Van Christo Radio Theater, which broadcast old time radio programs over Greater Boston airwaves.

  • Kim was chosen to curate the Spring 2020 Copley Society of Boston’s “Co|So Artists: Pop-Up Portrait Exhibition.” The show was comprised of ten select portraits by Copley Society artist members.

  • Gorrasi’s portrait of Harvard Professor Arthur Kleinman resides at the University’s Tozzer Anthropology Building. She also holds portraits in the permanent collections of Bentley University and The Players Club of New York.
